I’m hearing Lutfur Rahman is very close to achieving his manifesto pledge to create 1000 new car parking spaces in Tower Hamlets. Some have even come by taking space directly from the pavement. Unbelievable in this day and age.

There are not enough muppet movies.
Right. Here's my big pitch:
Muppet James Bond
James Bond in…A Heart-Felt Goodbye
Dominic Cooper as Bond
Kermit M Frog
Mrs Moneypiggy
Beaker & Dr Bunsen HoneyQ
The agents of G.O.N.Z.O. want to kidnap the world's chickens. MI5 has a mole (Rizzo the Rat). An agent is undercover as a chef in Sweden.

Actually, looking at this again I'm not clear how the whole headtube/bars/fork arrangement works on a Lime bike. Anyone?

I thought we were done with this victim blaming bullshit, at the very least in London from reasonably progressive boroughs, but here's Hackney telling pedestrians to dress like a construction worker to walk to the shops rather than making the environment safer.

I mean, I think every car should have a mandatory black box tracker that should absolutely be used as evidence in collisions, speeding, other crime.
If people want to do crime they could take a bus. Or a cab. Or walk or cycle.
If people want to do crime they could take a bus. Or a cab. Or walk or cycle.
Year one: "We can work it out as an estimate"
Year two: "Oh, look, lots of people are dodging the system!"
Year three: "We need to fit mandatory trackers to every car in the country."
Year four plus: "Why shouldn't tracker data be used in evidence? What have people got to hide?"

I don’t think think “estimated road use” is right approach - at the least drivers should have the *option* of getting a black box fitted that just tracks their EVs usage, but come on, Mel, impersonate a serious politician!

That it’s still necessary to do more research on this is absurd but those fighting against safe space haven’t died off yet.

This New Yorker documentary about the 1988 UK government ban on broadcasting the voices of Sinn Féin and I.R.A. leaders is pretty good but they show *that clip from The Day Today with no explanation and no indicator that it is satire.

These watches appear to be ripoffs of famous designs. Likely from some factory that normally produces "homage" watches and they just swapped out the branding.

This scheme looks to be properly high quality, although I'm still dubious that 'uncontrolled crossings' have any place in a modern scheme. If theres a desire line should be ped priority

I really don't know what could be clearer evidence of Musk's intentions to fully shift from facilitating networks of actual human interaction to providing a one-way brainwashing service for fascism.
Musk: X will delete all heuristics from its recommendation system within six weeks. ...the familiar logic of likes, replies, and reposts that shaped Twitter for years is about to disappear. In its place, Grok, the platform's in-house Al model, will read and watch more than one hundred million posts.
Brace for another wave of x refuges
