I’m begging new bands and artists to use web search. Keep having excited moments just to realize that it’s a local band with the same name. And now upon checking out what shows are coming up soon saw that now there’s a local artist that goes by Cranes. It’s easy: “[band name] band” Please.

There’s something interesting to me how in talks and interviews when My Bloody Valentine is brought up their peers whether other shoegaze artists or artists in adjacent scenes at the time will usually refer to them as “the Valentines.” Some kind of slang or shorthand I imagine.
