One way to fix this would be to take away Section 230 protections and open up Big Tech to lawsuits for defamatory slop posted on their platforms.
So basically the AI Bros are creating a world where reality will be impossible to decipher. I truly fucking hate them.

Yeah and it's at this point that I remind people that Adam Smith's parable about the efficiency of the invisible hand describes perfectly competitive markets where buyers and sellers have more of less equal knowledge.

But most markets ain't like that.
It really is something that Elon personally tanked the EV side of the business and his plan to turn things around is "robots" and investors haven't crushed each other trying to get out the door
Tesla's EU sales were down 48.5% in October, and are down 30% in a year-to-date when EV sales are up 26%.

Tesla's China sales fell 35.8% in October, for an 8.4% decline year-to-date.

Tesla's US sales fell 24% in October, after incentives expired.

IT'S HAPPENING!

True although at this point if this government threatened to deport me to Brazil I would have a hard time saying não...
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...

The world's first anti-slop pope.

It's just sad that we live in a time in which anti-slop popes are necessary.

This is AMAZING journalism. The New York Times went through Trump's court filings related to what is happening in Chicago. There are videos, testimonies, and photographs. You can see this for yourself.

Oh yeah. Welcoming back the guy who got tricked into believing the Cheap Groceries Button is different from welcoming back the Tech Bros, most of whom deserve to be vaporized.
The tech leaders who championed DOGE are gonna try to get back into influencing the Democratic Party, and I think it’s a different situation than welcoming back regretful Trump 2024 voters

It's great that Trump's popularity is in the toilet but I still don't think I'll get over voters forgetting how much he sucked in just four years.

Don't drag her for this. She's right.
I’m sure I’m gonna get dragged for this, but I think AI is bad. AI has completely ruined Google search and it’s created a lot more slop that needs to be avoided on the Internet.

Any Democrat who wants my vote will pledge to tear down the fucking ballroom.
Trump has wanted to go ever-bigger with his planned White House ballroom.

One person who disagrees: Trump’s handpicked architect

James McCrery is worried about the size of Trump’s addition overshadowing the main White House mansion, per people we’ve spoken to.

Trump wants a bigger White House ballroom. His architect disagrees.
The president and James McCrery had argued in recent weeks over the project’s size, with Trump pushing him to expand the ballroom.

There's a good case to be made that Trump's biggest purely political mistake in his first term was letting Paul Ryan hang in as Speaker.

In his second term I think it will be letting the AI Bros into the tent.

I'm curious what the MAGA reaction is. I get the feeling they've mostly soured on him both for justified reasons (Patel comical incompetence) and unjustified ones (their own racism).

FWIW, it's always fascinating to me that the most pro-Palestinian country in the EU is Ireland. And the reason is... they have historical memory of what it's like being colonized. And it sucks!

It's comically obvious that if Tucker Carlson and Nick Fuentes had stuck with anti-Black or anti-Muslim racism, they'd 100% be acceptable to Bari Weiss. In fact, they probably could have gotten away with anti-Semitism! The sin was criticizing Israel.
