Is the implication that it feels more like 1999-2000?

In this case, it's with Donie O'Sullivan, who is really really good at exposing radical bigotry.

I've mentioned this before on here, but when I visited the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg a few years ago, they showed some of the stuff white kids were taught in schools and, oh my God, there is no way to come out of that not being a racist without undergoing deprogramming. Truly horrific shit.

Voters were somehow fine electing Trump when people were waving 'MASS DEPORTATION NOW' signs at the RNC. What the fuck did they think that would entail.

That last detail makes the depravity off-the-charts.

Oh yeah. Automatic death penalty for white-collar crime might be the only way we get out of this.

I hate to credit Carville but 'it's the economy, stupid' is a pretty timeless piece of political advice.

I'm still fine with it. I'm sick of elites getting away with shit. Anything to strike fear into them and make them think twice before deciding to be complicit in underage sex trafficking rings is a plus!

7/ I was once genuinely worried about Trump not leaving in 2028. I am not now. The way he's governing the GOP will shove his ass out the door.

6/ We're so used to Trump defying the laws of politics that it's hard to believe said laws are applying to him but they are. Successful autocrats make themselves popular before clamping down. Trump is too inept for that.

5/ He's still going to try to rig the midterms of course but the amount of damage he's doing to himself right now will make that impossible. He's taking on water and his base is demoralized.

4/ If there's a flood of GOP defections in the Epstein Files House vote, the stench of lame duckness will grow overwhelming. He'll be in Bush post-Katrina territory.

3/ Honestly if you look at MAGA social media posts... He's bleeding support when he gaslights people about inflation being gone and when he says we don't have enough talented Americans to do jobs.

More Epstein dirt could really bury him.

2/ I've never been an accelerationist but at this point, we need Trump to fail as quickly and spectacularly as possible.

Having people get socked with premium increases that Democrats tried to prevent + bringing Epstein back into the headlines = Maximizing the political damage Trump is taking.

These emails made lots of people look like shit not only Trump. And I say: Good. Expose everyone.

And the thing is, this is symbolic of elites seeing nonelites as NPCs. Those girls were nobody important just Jeffrey's little toys, you see. Now think about how this manifests itself in areas like economic policy.

Look at people like Larry Summers, Peter Thiel, and Prince Andrew who kept hanging out with him after he went to the clink for soliciting a minor!
