Mamdani’s victory and SCOTUS declining to hear a challenge to same-sex marriage is some of the best political news I’ve heard in a year. I hope it’s not fleeting, but it’s nice to see a light in the middle of what feels like never ending darkness.

Today the U.S. Supreme Court denied review of a case that sought to challenge marriage equality. It’s a major relief for so many in the LGBTQ community, who have seen relentless attacks on their dignity and equality in recent years.

As many have pointed out, Mamdani didn't stand apart from our trans brothers and sisters. He didn't play the "Gee, gosh, it sure is complicated," milquetoast moderate card. And he crushed.

No mention of Charlie Kirk in Trump's post, which was the entire point of the jokes Kimmel was making in the first place by him brushing aside the topic to talk about a White House ballroom being built. I'm hardly a fan of Jimmy Kimmel, but Trump proved his point entirely here.
Don't buy the canard that this is about Charlie Kirk. Abusing state power to lean on corporate leaders and get Jimmy Kimmel off the air because he told jokes about the president and made him feel bad was always the plan.

Yuuuuup. Also, I don't give a shit if some of the worst people in the world think I am being performative or am virtue signaling. Fuck 'em. They don't get to tell me how to be.
Anyway, trans rights are human rights, y'all. It's not complicated.

To my fellow cishet dudes: when we are quiet about supporting the trans community, the only voices anyone hears are the Charlie Kirks of the world. Don't let accusations of being "performative" or "virtue signaling" shut you up - that's their whole point. Our voices are needed now more than ever.

The legislation would prohibit taxpayer dollars for any type of gender-affirming care for transgender people. This would include programs like Medicaid

The far right have been increasingly comfortable going mask off ever since Trump was elected again, now their aim is renewed at trans people. They don't care about bad faith arguments, just cherry picking extremely rare examples as their "gotchas" to shout as their truth. Fuck the bigots, full stop.

I really hope we don’t get Newsom as the dem candidate in 2028- he’s shown time and time again his willingness to bend to right wing appeal(his egregious stances on homelessness and trans rights, platforming Steve Bannon and Charlie Kirk). He may be showing some spine rn, but don’t be fooled.

Don’t. Do not. Do literally anything other than this. See a licensed therapist. Get a plant. Volunteer at an animal shelter. Shitpost 24 hours a day on Bluesky. Anything but this.
OpenAI is now openly suggesting people use chatGPT for mental health, to „untangle their thoughts” to help them „think more clearly” or if they need to decide whether to „break up with their boyfriend”.
This is unacceptable. Somebody will die. They know that. They don’t care.
Fuck them.

5) We’ll find WMDs
6) We’ll be welcomed as liberators
7) It will be easy
