This is always how I feel when people bring up people abusing SNAP; I don’t care. If 20 grifters gets meals so that 1 person that needs it gets fed that’s better than murdering a person to prevent 20 grifters from eating.
this is a slippery slope in and of itself & people with disabilities are already means tested around being “disabled enough” if they need assistance in meeting their basic needs

Have been dealing with this for the last year and a half and it's infuriating. My 7yo has ADHD but since, until recently, it wasn't impairing his schoolwork, he couldn't get a diagnosis or supports. Now that he's failed multiple reading assessments they're FINALLY (slowly) moving.
It's basically impossible to get an IEP if you have a disabled kid who is currently getting good grades, so you have to wait until the grades start falling to get necessary accommodation. 🙃
Once again, no one making these claims seems to understand the enormous hurdles in the way of getting a kid the help they need - in this case - I dare anyone suggesting this to go through an IEP process.

How about we worry less, as a society, about whether individuals might be cheating to get a disability accommodation or some help buying food, and more about whether extremely wealthy people and corporations are paying their fair share of taxes?
