I am so grateful every damn day for the bravery of trans, non-binary and gender fluid people, and most especially the kids in my own life who continue to defy hatred by showing up as themselves.

I didn't manage to write the newsletter yesterday, but I have a strong idea I'm working on this morning - fleshing out the thought that the trans rights movement's greatest strength in the face of a sudden, cruel backlash is the large cohort of people who transitioned between 2010 and 2020.

By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).
