NEW: Jan Crawford's attack on SCOTUS "corruption" narrative was its own substance-free narrative.

On Face the Nation, CBS News's chief legal correspondent went after Supreme Court critics as "dangerous." And yet, her court defense was completely lacking in specifics.

You're not the audience for the MTG glow up happening because you (as an individual) would never be in an actual position to make common cause with her or to reject her in some nebulous "coalitional" political way. This is the elite speaking to other elites to shape elite opinion.

An essential development over the past decade-plus is that the ignorant went from feeling chastened when their ignorance was revealed to banding together and deciding that, actually, they were right. They might disagree at times, but they agreed that ignorance itself was an indicator of trust.

one serious answer? a lot of elites—including many liberals—absolutely lost their minds the one time our government asked them make the same mid-crisis sacrifices for the public good as everyone else. and they are happy to fund and publish damn near anything to prevent that from happening again
There’s a lesson here about writing in the age of weaponized lies: Always precede false claims with giant red text, ideally wrapped in a <blink> tag, that says “THIS IS A LIE I AM REFUTING!!”

But also, why is a book that makes this kind of lazy, bad-faith argumentation getting any accolades at all?

This is critically important. Democrats need to pass it if they retake Congress. Trump will veto it. So pass it again. Campaign on it. Given current polling, corruption of the FBI, and the brutality of ICE and BP, there’s no better time to say, “Federal police are not above the law.”
Restoring Bivens rights: one bill "would allow citizens to sue for damages resulting from constitutional violations committed by federal officers," while the other "would create a cause of action against federal law enforcement agencies and police depts for constitutional violations."
These congressmen want to give you the right to sue federal law enforcement for violating your rights
The proposed bills aim to codify a 1971 Supreme Court ruling that allowed individuals to sue the feds for Fourth Amendment violations.

I cannot emphasize enough that the White House has no authority to withhold funds from the Smithsonian. It can, however, try to persuade/threaten Congress to reduce future funding.
“American people will have no patience” for any museum that is “uncomfortable conveying a positive view of American history,” Trump aides wrote.

"It was not immediately clear how much money the White House might try to withhold, from which parts of the Smithsonian or on what authority."
White House threatens Smithsonian funds in sweeping content review
It is not clear on what authority the administration could withhold Smithsonian funds, as President Trump tries to purge “woke” content from cultural institutions.

There's a line that the GOP is a death cult that isn't really accurate. There are real death cults out there and they look and act nothing like this.

This is, instead, a symptom of a total lack of culture and identity. It is the inability to perceive and act upon the full spectrum of human emotion.
TPUSA recreated the booth where Charlie Kirk was shot and killed, and attendees lined up to take selfies in it. So weird.
