I cannot learn by sitting still and listening- in school I learnt to doodle ( the quietest thing I could do).
Erica Stanford saying that all brains learn to read the same way is exactly what I have come to expect from a National Education Minister.
As someone who is dyslexic, my brain reads by word shape and pattern recognition. So this idea is easily refuted.

No understanding of how %work. Target 80% minimum for students present .... One week off half way through the school year and 58.1% meets target- not possible to reach the target. Definitely not "on track". Also, climate...... So far off track!

Most sports in Aotearoa NZ have a significant proportion of Māori players, coaches.... Players like Penina Davidson, Ruby Tui, Stacey Waaka, Sarah Hirini and many many others have important voices as they have the mana to be heard.
I wrote this column the other week (paywalled) which included part of the statement from the NZ Rugby League Board who have made a submission against ACT’s divisive bill.
Folks seem to have missed this move but I think it’s important from a sport like league.

With the resurfacing of all the Thiel discourse I'd love the Greens to announce that any coalition agreement they signed would have a non negotiable wealth tax of 95% on anyone with multiple citizenships and a net worth over $1 biliion who has spent at least 12 days in Aotearoa with PT as initials.
