(1) some of this precedes Trump and is bigger than Trump.A story about how we allowed our rights to be eroded post 9/11
(2)Trump takes that pre-existing condition and pours gasoline on it
(3) a gov’t that treats its own citizens as the enemy is not fit to govern in a democracy

Of all the awful stuff in this reprehensible bill, the fact that your children stop being considered dependents at SEVEN may be the most horrifying detail.
The Ag Committee's part of the Reconciliation Bill raises the SNAP work requirement age for able-bodied adults without dependents from 54 to 64. It also changes the definition of "dependent child" from under 18 years to under 7 years old to determine "Able-bodied adult without dependents."

It is an ICE agent taking an axe to the car window of an immigrant in New Bedford, MA. Not far from where I sit now. An immigrant with no criminal record was abducted by this smiling man.

This is important. Just about everyone has committed crimes. The difference between a felony record and no record is almost always luck, money, family connections, race, and/or a whole lot of other things not within anyone's control.
Having a criminal record does not make you a bad person. Having a felony conviction does not make you a bad person. Some of the best people I've ever known have felony convictions on their records, and some of the worst people I've ever met moralized endlessly about crime.

Kidnapping.

Capturing a person against their will without due process is called kidnapping.

Transporting them to another country without due process is called human trafficking.

A squalid extrajudicial prison for people found guilty of no crime is called a concentration camp.
stop calling things deportation just because they call it deportation.

-You cannot legally deport people without due process.

-You cannot legally deport citizens.

-They are defining down deportation to break the law.
