So if people were mad about Kendrick Lamar in 2025 and are madder about Bad Bunny in 2026 who should do the halftime show in 2027 to ensure they're the maddest?

Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"Whether that would be legal and whether that would be wise are two different questions."

"The ideal number of times for your client to have seen your penis is zero."
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"Yes, I will write you a letter of recommendation."
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"Where are your citations?"

One of my friends at this conference lives in the DC area and she says she‘s basically seen National Guard people exit cars in a big cloud of weed and then get on the subway and that’s about it
"The deployment is on track to exceed $600 million at the one-year mark, in August.

“Despite that significant investment of taxpayer dollars, the National Guard has been unable to identify any measurable public safety outcomes attributable to their presence...”

Democrats criticize cost of National Guard deployment in D.C. and its results in new report
The Trump administration deployed National Guard members in August. More than 2,000 are still in Washington.

I probably do have 44 ingredients on hand that can go into Asian food, but most of them can go into other foods too and the ones that can’t can either be purchased in tiny quantities or they are very shelf stable.

I'm in San Antonio for a conference. Last night, I was walking with a group to dinner, and we walked through an intersection that had hundreds of birds shrieking. It sounded almost electronic.

Two members of our group were from MSP and they immediately thought ICE whistles. They were on guard.

Law students, I understand the black suit. I own a couple of the black suits. I assure you, you do not all need to wear the black suit to this networking event.

I’ve seen lawyers melt down in court (mostly in transcripts) but this is next level
This is unreal. An AUSA talking like that in open court is about as close as you can come to a total breakdown. Never heard of anything like it.

This means there are images showing death, physical abuse, and injury, no?
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche admits that the DOJ excluded all images showing “death, physical abuse, or injury” from yesterday’s Epstein files release.

WHAT ELSE ARE THEY HIDING???

15's school walked out today. He told me that someone in a car leaned halfway out the window and shouted pro-ICE epithets at them and the entire crowd responded even louder

The kids are all right

Never mind the jobs you had, tell me five classes you took in college.

Cultural Approaches to Mathematics -- I had to take a math and this was the math I took

Cross-Dressed Gender Bending in Literature and Film -- this was the 1990s and we were ahead of our time (even if the title is dated)

Never mind the jobs you had, tell me five classes you took in college.

Am Govt—pointed out a lot of things about the cultures of the house and senate. this definitely informs my “what the hell is the senate”

International Political Economy—everyone should take it. You learn how power is money…

I could tell my parents were getting older when they told me that the presentation they just sat through in Hawaii to get a free luau "wasn't for a time share, it was for a fully deeded fractional interest in vacation real estate." (They didn't bite, thankfully.)

This has similar vibes.
DHS is now claiming that the warehouses they are purchasing "will not be warehouses."

Except they are literally warehouses!

One of my non-terminally online colleagues just referred to “Kavanaugh stops” and another non-terminally online colleague knew what that meant. Neat.

What I want the AI to do: Take this statement of facts I wrote from memory and add the 3000000 needed transcript cites and flag what's not actually in the transcript so I can edit

What the AI does: launches when I don't want it to and freezes my computer

When I was not even in law school yet and just a baby Dem, I had a little politics blog. I went to a @wisdems.org convention and Sen. Feingold was hosting a hospitality (with sloppy joes, IYKYK) and we'd never met but when I introduced myself, he mentioned a blog I'd written recently.
Feingold losing his seat made the senate so much worse

My teenager, who I can't shield from videos of people getting murdered by their government (short of confiscating his tech and locking him in his room forever), still likes it when I give him the top ring of the bell peppers when I cook with them, as I did when I was a kid

So that's something
