So apparently I was pardoned this week for my work on the 2020 election. Were you?
The language of this pardon is extremely broad.
It includes “all United States citizens for conduct relating to the advice, creation, organization, execution, submission, support, voting, activities, participation in, or advocacy for or of any slate or proposed slate of Presidential
electors…”

It's 2025 and there are still hair places that charge more for women versus men (as opposed to charging based on complexity of the cut and/or experience of the stylist)

My teen has a very lyrical way with words
I mean, today, it is more like "So What" by the Anti-Nowhere League than anything else but it is lyrical

"Why is this addressed just to frat boy?" -- a friend of mine, upon seeing a SCOTUS filing with my name on it in 2020
Justice KBJ is a brilliant strategist. She is working the rules to compel timely review of the stay in the SNAP case by both the Circuit Court and by the Supreme Court. This is why knowing which SCOTUS justice has supervision of the Circuit you file in is essential.

LawSky folks who travel on clients' dimes (and whose agreements are silent on such things), how do you choose a hotel?
1) Cheapest, non-sketchy
2) Cheapest, sketchy
3) Mid-range business hotel
4) Classy hotel
5) Chain where you have status
6) AirBnb
7) Actual BnB

13, it lasted two weeks, he broke up with me, I was devastated.
6. How old were you when you had your first relationship?

"I don't know if it's possible for relationships to last long-term without conflict and argument, but people in successful relationships don’t focus on winning the argument—they focus on resolving the conflict, and that’s different." -- I don't know if this is *the* best, but it came from 15.

Referee: "Can the court reporter read Attorney Rosenzweig's question back?"
Reporter: reads back question
Me: "Well that was the single worst question I have ever asked, I will withdraw it and move to strike and salt the earth and forget it ever existed"

And here is one dumb thing: If you are driving a car, you ALSO want transit to run better and be safer because that gets more cars off the road and you have fewer of them to deal with
When you’re riding public transit you realize that what’s good for everybody is also good for you. If the bus runs faster, if the train is cleaner, if the AC works, we all benefit
when you’re driving a car, every other car on the road is your personal enemy

The Times parsed the vote using similar categories and again found that the single most determinative factor economic-like factor in the election was "commute by transit" vs "commute by car." It edged out renters vs. homeowners. There's still outstanding data but I expect these trends will hold.

There is absolutely no reason that a congressman from Maryland should have to weigh in one way or the other about a mayor race in a different state, but at the same time...in a world of Chucks be like Jamie.
Important to compare and contrast the behavior of a Schumer with that of a Raskin— another Jewish Democrat who is obviously quite pro Israel but who has, interestingly, not made his support of other members of the party contingent upon them internalizing his particular preferences.

Was the officer a patrol officer?
If so, would that make this...mustard on the beat?

The officer Sandwich Guy is charged with assaulting testifies that he could feel the impact of the sandwich through his ballistic vest, and it “exploded all over my uniform.” He says he could “smell the onions and the mustard.”

If you need to feed a lot of people, koshari is cheap, vegan, and reasonably healthy. (I've not tried it gluten free but it could probably be adapted.) It does take a bit to get everything together but it's not difficult.

This is a silly post, but I've never seen Mamdani campaigning wearing anything other than business clothes.
Is that typical for New York? It is not typical for Milwaukee (even for a high office).

I see a lot of “they have a flat screen tv!” too, which may have been a more valid criticism in 1999 when they cost $20,000.
Now a “flat screen TV” is…a TV. That’s what TVs are and they aren’t expensive anymore. You often get one for free if you stop by a college neighborhood on move-out day.

Never take seriously those who ridicule low income people for having a smartphone or laptop.
“If they’re so poor how did they buy an iPhone???”
Because they’re trying to escape poverty, not the 1700s, genius. If you think basic tech access is luxury, survive a month without it.
