The left joins with right against the middle takes on the Trump/Mamdani meeting are way off. There is nothing substantive here. There will be no policy breakthroughs. That’s not what this is about. It’s about a young smart guy who knew how to play an old fool who worships stars.

Yes. This. Don't dunk; block.
This. The block button is right there, and unlike Twitter there's no mechanism for someone to easily bypass a block and harass you. It's called the "nuclear block" for a reason.

The toxic "blocking = giving up" mentality does not exist here, so just don't engage with folks who live to be miserable
You’re not beholden to respond to every rando that decides to challenge you on something just b/c they had or are having one bad experience. Some people on this app simply like being argumentative and confrontational for the sake of it (especially twitter/X refugees) and nobody is entertaining that.

The Nuzzi story isn't 'fun' its just a bunch of obviously unethical people getting ahead in life, as often happens

Happy International Mens Day. Men still do the most dangerous jobs. Are more likely to take their own lives. Experience perceived social penalties for being paternal, caring, sensitive etc. So, with consent, hug a man today. Fixing the patriarchy is in the best interests of men too!

steam is apparently allowing "this game had AI in it that it didn't disclose" as a valid return statement, so if you or anyone you know actually paid $70 for slop, get that money back

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

See the problem was that with long lifespans, mortgages were no longer living up to their linguistic origin as a death pledge, so we had to extend them.

Bluesky suspended Sarah Kendzior today for no reason whatsoever. She just shared excerpts of her articles, which were as always incisive and not offensive at all. Hey @pfrazee.com this is super not OK. I know her- we've interacted a fair bit via chats and her work is essential.

After yesterday’s surrender, we’re launching the largest Democratic primary program that we’ve ever run.

We will not back any Senate primary candidate unless they call for Schumer to step down as Minority Leader.

If you’re as pissed as we are, join this campaign to rebuild the Democratic Party. 👇
Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders.
After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)

Rosen (2030)

It’s an ideal that has long been lost by many Americans. Your government should help you. You pay for it!

Stop pretending you can’t fight every fight and start understanding you NEED to fight every fight

I think the thing that pisses me off the most is that at this point in time, if you are comfortable being nominated for a position by a man who wipes his ass daily with the Constitution, you are CLEARLY not fit to serve in a democratic government, and I don’t understand why any Dem is voting yes
