Oh good, another social media platform to lurk on. Litigator (probably not your lawyer, and opinions my own), interested in Everton FC, Bay Area sports, transit, and some other stuff.
Odd to hear this from Anthony Horowitz, whose whole deal when writing under his own name is to mock the tropes of the mystery genre.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

I skipped this article for a while because I figured I'd read enough about the NYT's Mamdani coverage. I don't want to say the headline does the article a disservice - it is also very much about that - but goes well beyond as well

I really enjoyed the depth of this piece - it's really thoughtfully done.
watching the Mamdani campaign from afar during the primary, so many things were impressive, among them the incredible work his online video team was doing to spread the message in fun, creative, educational, invigorating ways that spoke to people

this is my story about how they did it

The most relatable LeBron has ever been.
Lakers star LeBron James is sidelined for at least 3 to 4 weeks due to sciatica on his right side. He is out for the start of the 2025-26 NBA season.

He and his campaign really know how to connect to a younger audience.

really feels like housing affordability is one of the most important political issues of our time, affecting nearly every aspect of our lives, and everyday our mainstream political discourse is about whether sour cream is woke or not

someone tried to say that they did /not/ author incriminating documents because it was prepared by ChatGPT.

The only problem? This document was authored prior to the the release of ChatGPT lol

My only quibble with this excellent thread: No way you cover all this material in a single course.
I think it's now possible to make a poli-sci course that equips one for modern political analysis better than most classic theory and has a syllabus sourced entirely from random internet posts.
