How would a fairly non tech-y woman living in Ireland be able to watch The Candidate tonight, in order to honour the memory one of her first, and most abiding crushes? #ripRobertRedford

@williamcrawley.bsky.social Hi William - tell Mervyn that as of yesterday, listeners in the Republic of Ireland can no longer listen to BBC Radio Ulster, or any other BBC stations other than Radio 4 and the World Service, using the BBC Sounds app. This is grim for me. I’d like to know his thoughts.

Thanks for the reminder @janemunday.bsky.social. Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on.

If you’re rioting or even just protesting because a foreigner has been accused of rape, but you never rioted or protested when a white Irish bloke was accused of rape, you are not a defender of women and are - quite literally - just a racist

It is essential to distinguish the primary purpose of the Arts Council, which is to support the arts. Artists often live from week to week and face intense scrutiny for minor arts awards. This should be seperated from what appears to be a serious mismanagemet of funds by the Arts Council board.
'Serious questions' facing Arts Council - Harris
Tánaiste Simon Harris has said it is "absolutely alarming, quite frankly" that the Arts Council ignored the public spending code regarding work on an unsuccessful IT system.
