Gather round children and I shall tell you the legend of Marie Kondo
There should be a reverse Christmas where a magical man comes to your house and takes away a bunch of junk. But the government won't allow this because it doesn't help the economy

You should read this.
Hey, if you are generally supportive of trans people and self-determination but don’t necessarily know much about it, let me explain something that a trans friend & roommate explained to me in 2004.

This is why health care for trans kids is so important.

Some of you have forgotten that only three years ago you were perfectly capable of writing a text, writing an email, telling a bedtime story to a child, and it should worry you that powerful companies have convinced us we can’t do things we’ve been doing since the dawn of time.

Venezuela has the one of the world’s largest oil reserves.
Canada has 171 billion barrels of proven oil reserves.

What’s happening at CBS News is a five alarm fire and portent of what’s to come, a nuclear assault on the very heart and soul of America. This is not hyperbole.

This is not something we can just get back, either.

The NEWS is the news because it has operated a certain way since…. Well, forever.

As the old sources are corrupted, sure new ones can rise. But it’s a long road to build trust and they’ll be slowed and undermined by the old guard at every step.

I signed. If you see this and you’re Canadian, please sign. Human rights should never be at risk.

No one ever explains what you're supposed to do after the talking though. What if I talk to a guy and determine, in the course of our conversation, that he is a committed fascist and the only moral course of action is to oppose him and all his works?

Another conversation I assume?
CNN has a show with a similar line. That the problem with this country is we just aren’t talking to each other.

It’s the kind of diagnosis that a toddler would land on.

I’m so pissed off at the Liberals right now—if I wanted a Conservative govt I would have voted for one!
Now that they've framed most of the Conservative ideas and positions as desirable, the Liberals will be in huge trouble if the Conservatives ever wise up enough to pick a leader who isn't universally hated.

Canadians shouldn’t accept the death of the Online Streaming Act as a fait accompli. If Ottawa genuinely cares about Canadian culture (a big “if,” I realize more and more every day), then act like it.

Relatedly, red flags go up for me when someone says or posts that “we don’t want to become the people we hate,” as if there weren’t a lot of daylight between stopping somebody’s bad behavior and adopting that behavior, and stopping abuse were tantamount to hatred.
Back in the days when I was still going to church, the pastor who eventually persuaded me to stop going to church had a phrase that he liked to say a whole lot, and for all I know he still likes to say it.

The phrase was "we're creating victims and villains."

America, you have spoken loud and clear: You do not like AI. But what if AI is the way to restart the world’s idea machine?
We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
