There’s something a bit, I don’t know … iffy? Shady?… about sharing a photo of a woman and a man at some public function or place, as evidence that the woman is in the man’s pocket in one way or another.

That’s quite the assumption.

What the hell kind of defense is this supposed to be?

“A guy”? “Someone”??

Please …
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.

Something absolutely perfect about Larry Summers riffing about the scourge of woke cancel culture being unfair to predatory men in a friendly email to his pal JEFFREY EPSTEIN.

It's hard to believe this too was a decade ago already.

Just as 2015 marked the high-water mark of the liberal international order, it also marked the turning point in the West's gradual abandonment of that order. And this was a big part of that shift.

Religious Convulsions
Priest abuse, then Trump, now Netanyahu have hit three major religions hard. Each is catastrophic. But, as Catholicism has shown us, something will emerge from the devastation.

Same here. I don’t know how the country recovers if a large chunk of the electorate lives in its own head, reality-free and catered to by pretenders and thieves.
I yearn for evidence-based politics.

instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."
