I still can’t get my head around the fact that he had so little shame he agreed to come back as Foreign Secretary. The prime author of the worst blow to Britain’s global position since the fall of Singapore thought he’d done so very well that he’d show us all how to do foreign policy again.
Remember that one man is the author of most of our problems. He's rich and he lives in a big house with his rich wife and he laughs it up most days. The people he demonised and punished struggle on. That's life and that's Britain.

If Prince Andrew used Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, he should go to jail.

If Bill Clinton used Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, he should go to jail.

If Donald Trump used Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, he should go to jail.

That wasn’t so difficult, was it?

Private rent in UK now swallows 44% of the average wage.

Monthly cost jumps to record £1,385 outside London, £2,736 in the capital.

Lack of social and affordable housing, no rent controls, as govts appease corporations and the rich.

Profiteering creating poverty/despair, stifling economic growth.

The richest man on earth owns X.

The second richest man on earth is about to acquire TikTok and his family could soon own both Paramount and Warner Bros.

The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post.

See the problem here?

I liked it better when there were some consequences for flagrant racism. We’ve got to a very dark place very quickly.
Reform UK MP Sarah Pochin, “It drives me mad seeing adverts full of black people, full of Asian people, full of anything other than white"

Followed by that time Sarah Pochin said, "My kids say: mum, you're such a moron" 👀

The career of Robert Jenrick is a fascinating case study in how much lower one's opinion can get. Breaking new ground. A salutary reminder to never say "I couldn't despise them any more".

It really is staggering to see so many people willing to abandon our 249 year experiment in democracy for an increasingly unstable criminally convicted reality show charlatan.

None of these people get charged. They get arrested and most of them get given a time and date to show up to a police station to say "hi I was arrested" and they all end up being released without charge. This is just a complete fucking waste of EVERYONE'S time AND Israel still calls Starmer Hamas.
Over 400 arrests of protesters in London thanks to the government’s refusal to admit that their decision to proscribe Palestine Action as a terrorist group has been a disaster

The Labour gov has so far arrested well over 1,000 people for holding up signs

Now we are seeing the claim that "Unvaccinated kids are healthier." Every credible study shows the opposite of the claim: unvaccinated kids aren’t healthier...they’re at higher risk of dangerous, preventable disease.

Again, every credible study shows the opposite of the claim.

The Mail is going to go full Farage. The Telegraph already has, to the absolute horror of the proper journalists still on the paper. Tony Gallagher at The Times is, as ever, waiting for Rupert Murdoch’s instructions. Their only alternative is to own the stupidity of backing Johnson, Brexit & Truss.

At times I do wonder if the radicalisation on the UK right is less social media, more "we can't accept we failed and that we did so in such a way as to maybe needing us to rethink our underlying assumptions". The ur-example being Liz Truss.
Guys will advocate for processes that by their own account have brought tragedy and misery, that everything we know suggests will make everyone involved worse off and less secure, rather than admit that maybe the 2010 to 2024 government failed through no-one's fault but its own.
Incredible things are happening on the other place (this is about the UK).
