musk's extwitter was a failure by any quantitative metric of business or technical performance. he and his stans ended up revising the goal to make it an ideological performance, and that had a much bigger impact

In the intervening 75 years, Luxembourgs population has doubled and it is one of the world’s richest countries per capita. Obviously an anomalously small case, but it does sort of show why there is a very simple solution to the problem that the right are v much in the active denial phase of

Whenever I'm on Extwitter these days it's very noticeable how much more culture war content there is there than here. Much more. I only know what Nate is talking about because of that site, and I inevitably follow more Americans here than there.

I was just in a primary school which had a big display of “Letters from the Industrial Revolution” written by the kids. Absolutely adorable. One began:

Notable here that if you read the article some of the bodies here seem to date from the period where the site was used as a workhouse (so before it became the infamous mother and baby home). There's a lot to this place that has gone undisturbed and needs recovering.
