IMHO = In my humble opinion.

It is a good acronym.

I suggest another, potentially more useful and certainly more accurate one (as most opinions are not actually humble) :

IMAE = In my anecdotal experience.

Trans men’s insight on this is so fucking valuable in understanding the nuances of what’s going on with men. We need to be amplifying them, and hopefully cis men can realize what is actually the source of their loneliness.

Dans le grand jeu "Où trouver 40 milliards ?", rappelons que les baisses d'impôts et de prélèvements depuis 2014 ont aggravé l'injustice fiscale et creusé les déficits publics, sans effets positifs sur l'économie.

Sci fi had us worried about sentient, clever AI but stupid AI is the real threat isn't it. They're going to enmesh this completely unreasonable tech in everything and it'll gradually reduce us to paste. Didn't even need sentience, just the worst nerds and gullible politicians

My complaint with AI isn't that I think it'll cause an apocalypse or put everyone out of work. It's that I know what they really want it for, which is to offload responsibility. They want a machine to make the decisions so they, the humans in charge, can't be blamed.

Today, the UK government announced a proposal to change copyright law - for the benefit of AI companies - that would cause huge, irreversible harm to creators.

More info below, but most importantly here's what you can do (wherever you live):

I have to admit I have a real bug up my ass about people referring to the substance of creative output as "content". I feel like I need to get over myself with this frustration, but it's becoming an unrelenting drumbeat by people and here's why it annoys me: 🧵

An excellent thread on the subtle challenges of decarbonization.
Ok, first train+decarb content of the day returns me to the first climate project I ever worked on: How to appropriately dispose of fossil assets that are decommissioned before end of life. It's a puzzle that's becoming ubiquitous, but mostly flying under the radar.🔌💡(1/20)

your real issue with disney isn't that they make too many marvel movies or star wars movies or whatever, bc they have always done exactly that

it's decades of monopolization and elimination of competition brought about by lax antritrust enforcement

guess who caused that! that's right, reagan!
