your real issue with disney isn't that they make too many marvel movies or star wars movies or whatever, bc they have always done exactly that

like cinema was bad before the golden age as well! it was also good! it was always both good and bad at the same time, there are in fact good movies being made rn, but the big sellers are safe bets bc

- audiences are broke, choose sthg they know they'll like
- studios invest in that
- oops a circle

And we KNOW that gardening isn't so much about the food, because everyone talks about their beautiful tomatoes and chillies and herbs, rather than how to get enough storable starch to make it through the winter. If we were doing it to live, the talk would be all roots, grains and tubers.
