I used to start all of my books with handwritten notes and I kind of miss it. However, transcribing all those scribbles drove me crazy. That's why I'm thinking of getting a reMarkable Paper Pro. Has anyone here used it? What do you think? Is it useful? Worth the price? Thanks.

This is the funniest piece imaginable in the dull world of the otherwise sickly sycophantic tech review.

For real. Read it, even if you don’t give a rat’s ass about printers.

I think he's got ibuprofen confused with epinephrine.

They'd better have gotten that shit in writing. With a penalty payment for when the GOP fails to deliver.
Deal has been reached, I’m told by multiple sources, and Kaine has announced his support

Democrats ran the table on Tuesday at state and local levels, getting not just its base excited but “normies” fed up over the last 10mo, so of course national Democrats want to do everything to pop the air in the balloon.
At this point, it’s clear that the Hamburglar, Dr Evil, and Sideshow Bob are advising Chuck Schumer.

"Let's enjoy bsky for another 6 months, it's approaching the end" Okay,so who is building the next worthwhile mostly text-based microblogging platform? Or are we finally going to give Mastodon a chance to thrive?
I don't mind the shitty attempt at a rainbow of "bad word filter" type toggles, but having them enabled by default and hidden five menus deep in an option that doesn't even look real is just such a siren as to how these people operate. Let's enjoy bsky for another 6 months, it's approaching the end

Rude of the mods to think I can't tell when someone is being rude, and make my own decision regarding whether to merely ignore them or use BlueSky's tools to mute or block them.
If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

Surprise, surprise: the owner (Jeff Bezos, also founder and head honch at Amazon) got in bed with fascists a little TOO obviously and now that business is failing. "Get woke, go broke"? Nope. Go fasc, lose cash!
Some news: The Washington Post is preparing to cut newsroom staff even after several high profile exits. Bezos’ new opinion editor has privately told people The Post is in “severe financial distress.” Details in @status.news www.status.news/p/washington...

Don’t get me wrong, it continues to be very scary that the Trump administration keeps desperately trying to create Reichstag fires and Horst Wessel Power Hours, it’s just also very noticeable that they somehow keep failing to stick the landing.
which means you just petulantly keep starting Reichstag fires while looking back at the audience for approval with moist, increasingly desperate eyes
Imagine if you started a Reichstag fire, but nobody came

I figured this out 20+ years ago with movies: if the marketing is relentless while it's in theaters, it's because they need to make their money back while it's in theaters - the movie is terrible and the DVD is gonna sell around 30 copies, total.
If the AI bubble really is bursting, please take this lesson from it:

Nothing marketed to you this relentlessly is ever worth it. If it was, they wouldn’t need to beg you.

It's not a "situation", it's a shit-uation.
The raw milk people are hilarious. All you have to do is meet one (1) cow and smell the situation in which they are producing that rawness and you will pasteurize everything you own for a week

Everything fucking collapses. I don't know how to farm, I'm not great at fixing cars, I can't drive a forklift or a semi. And I can only read Latin letters and a little Arabic, so the clones in Japan, Russia, China, India, and lots of other places are going to have a VERY hard time.
The world’s population is suddenly replaced by vat-grown clones of you.

What happens next?
