If you’re on a library board or in a position to make policy, there are things you can do to keep Bruces from inundating libraries they don’t even go to with challenges.
For instance: a spot on the form where they need to list their library card number. A checkbox for “have you read the full book?”

I'll add, for anyone (like me) with social anxiety, esp. around the phone: they don't argue with you! They listen and record your comment. If they agree they will probably reassure you! If they don't, they just log you and you hang up. That's it. We can do this. ❤️👊
