I write novels & games. Johannes Cabal, Carter & Lovecraft, THE SHADOW ON THE GLASS for "Call of Cthulhu," Russalka, Kyth the Taker, Goon Squad, co-wrote BROKEN SWORD I-III, principal writer on ATOMFALL. All my fault. Sorry.

"Would you like some toast? Some nice hot crisp brown buttered toast. No? How about a muffin then? Nothing? You know the last time you had toast. 18 days ago. I mean what's the point in buying a toaster with artificial intelligence if you don't like toast. This is my job. This is cruel, just cruel."
Also, this just in -> the latest bizarre AI fever dream is AI-controlled trivets, staplers, and coffee cups on wheels. So we'll be chased around by inanimate wheeled objects clamoring for our attention.

Goodbye Colourful Trains!

I managed to film a nice goodbye to one of my favourite colourful trains.

The South West Railway's red Class 455 fleet has been in service for 42 years & will be replaced by new Arterio trains.

Nervous to talk about this on Bluesky, hahah - wow the internet is so fun and free nowadays - but yes, I have my own-hosted livestreaming now!

You can come to live.jenniegyllblad.com every Tuesday 12noon to watch traditional ART being made in real time. Said art happens to be saucy. ✨

Catching a train from Bristol Temple Meads, but they shifted the service along the platform because a scene from THE OUTLAWS was being shot where it would usually come in. The scene featured Christopher Walken and Stephen Merchant, but my train came before they shot it so I didn't see either of 'em.
Please quote this with the time you didn’t interact with someone famous - eg one time I was in Cardiff the same weekend as Willem Dafoe (but I didn’t see him or even know he was there until he appeared on the telly later)
Please quote this with your major interactions with massive celebrities. eg “I was married to the pope for fifteen years”

Are we doing end-of-the-year roundups? Okay, well, it's been a rum sort of year, but oodles of team-based stuff, plus my first comic, so that was nice. All very ATOMFALL orientated, but that's the sort of year it's been.

The Enterprise being pursued at Warp 5 by a giant Brian Blessed head bellowing "KIIIRRRRRKKKK!"
I'm getting "Gerry Anderson's STAR TREK" vibes.
The question is: Is the character depicted there a base commander, star-pilot, or general purpose space adventurer?

THE TERROR: DEVIL IN SILVER

Dan Stevens, Judith Light, CCH Pounder, Stephen Root, Aasif Mandvi, John Benjamin Hickey, and so many more great actors.

I am so proud of what we created and for you all to see it. It’s gonna fuck you up! In a good way.
And at some point in 2026, The Terror: Devil in Silver from @victorlavalle.bsky.social, Karyn Kusama, & me.
‘The Pitt’ clocks in for another shift, ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ returns to Westeros, and ‘Bridgerton’ brings out the ballgowns once more — the small screen’s future is looking brighter than ever.

I'm not keen on... no, let's not be mealy-mouthed about this, I absolute despise all of these *except* for bottom middle, which is clearly a production still for an exciting new space opera series debuting this spring. I, for one, shall be watching.
When people say they want to go back to a time "when men were men", I point them to Issue 2528 of the "Men in Belted Sweaters" catalogue.

It's all about the bailout, isn't it? Techbros are gadflies on the flank of the global economy, taking without giving anything but spectacular levels of irritation, parasites who won't shut up about how lucky you are to be parasitised by them.
look we're all making a big bet on AI! and if it pays off as big as we hope, well, it's going to make a handful of people super rich and you're going to lose your job but get to watch mickey mouse fuck geralt from the witcher. if it doesn't pay off well then you get to pay for the bailouts
