Anybody concerned about this hasn't been around hockey players at an ice rink, nor their unattended gear. All of it stinks—the people, the gear, omg the skates?!? GET IN THE SHOWER, players, and jesus do something about the gear too.
I'm choosing violence

Some of you talking about how Ilya showers so much so it must be OCD need to take a step back and consider that the baseline of which you are judging against as "so much" - i.e. your baseline - is that you are dirty.

Wrapping up my final project of the year, & that brings me to 2,025,783 words edited in '25. And just over 31,000,000 since I started freelancing in '13.

I love my job & I love Romancelandia. The world can be awful; I'm grateful for the hours I get to spend in stories with happy endings!

Hey, I'm gonna share my favorite reads this year, in romance, non-romance, and non-fiction. I'm excluding books I edited, and some of these were published earlier but I only read them this year.

Off we go, in no particular order, starting with romance:

Bad for people
That don’t read romance. They have no idea that they could feel this way ALL THE TIME.

I do think that criticizing these folks' looks is the lowest-hanging fruit—they're monsters no matter what they look like—but also TIL that Karoline Leavitt is 28. 28?!?
Hugest props ever to Vanity Fair for this photo of Karoline Leavitt showing her lip injection marks. I needed a smile today.

👏👏👏👏👏
this reminds me of the Bridgerton response and how people were so confused that the main characters *changed* after season one, like writing essays about why that was a bad choice

which seems like a logical thing to them, but an *insane* thing to say to anyone who understands genre romance.
but this? shut the fuck up. guess what, my man, gorgeous young 22 year olds like to fuck. And queer people deserve love stories that are sexy and horny. a "chaste kiss" please be for real.

Gasp-inducing moment in this ep as we discover it's rassle not wrassle. Why did I, too, think it started with a w?!? My word nerd brain is broke!
The end of the year is nigh, and it's our holiday romance novel episode! We're talking about a collection of romances that are entirely new to us (except for the one moment where Sarah talks about that old McNaught short story that installed all her cold-weather romance buttons).
