and yes "do not seem to internalize" can mean either "they're very stupid" or "they're paid to not internalize it" ... I won't guess at the actual why, but no matter the reason they don't do it, it remains good politics and good for humanity to soak the rich.

Something elite Democrats do not seem to internalize is that basically everything that benefits them, benefits the other side more. It's why they're afraid to regulate Tech or nuke billionaires: they want to protect their $10MMs of donations without realizing it would stop $100MMs of donations to Rs
