OpenAI expects to be profitable in 2029-2030. Some 15 years after starting.
If we consider it the next wave of bit techs, then think of this:
* Google was profitable in year 3
* Facebook (seemingly starting with no monetization idea) was so in year 6

This is a fundamental truth that they really really really don’t want to listen to.
I am old. I’ve been through so many waves of hustle culture. Outside of occasional crunch times, the overwork is always unnecessary, performative nonsense that provides cover for some combination of bad ideas, abusive leadership, disorganization, a total lack of strategy etc etc.

Yeah, AI is a tool. It can be extremely useful if used correctly. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people don’t know how to use it correctly, and never will given how it’s being marketed.
When you say "AI is absolute shit" people will say "that shows you don't understand AI and how it's supposed to be used" and I will say "I'm not talking about AI in some imaginary rainbow world where it's used right and not fecklessly monetized, I'm talking about our world, fucknuts."
