Timeless information-management skills
We need some research into how much time is spent trying to make sense of the gobbledegook that gets churned out. Not to mention the time spent arguing about what was actually said. We just need to train people to take a decent short minute.

Just catching up with this amazing bit of London Centric reporting and this is such an excellent description of the weird epistemic ambiguity produced by AI: "There’s clearly something political about it but nobody knows what it is." www.londoncentric.media/p/ai-artwork...
London's giant AI artwork to be torn down
The bizarre story of why a much-talked-about creation is being torn down. Plus: Docklands Light Railway extension, giant laser stalks the night sky, and more tales of Android phone theft rejection.

Richard Hawley calls his music “a league away from most things in any genre". Rufus Wainwright says he was “so lucky” to work with him at an impressionable age. One of Billy Bragg's most famous covers came about because of him. But have you heard of Dick Gaughan?

It'll always be Winterval to me.
As we move into “foreigners are cancelling Christmas in the name of political correctness” season it’s worth remember that Christmas was indeed once banned in England, by Christians and the man who enforced the ban has a statue in his honour outside the Houses of Parliament.

Did you know that, in so many ways, the Book of Deuteronomy is... liberation theology?

And that it's actually crafted as a bit of a 🖕 to the Assyrian Empire?

And that its power -- and its limits -- can teach us a so, so much about where we must be as we face down the Empire before us today?

Another Labour MP goes public with concerns.
A strong immigration system doesn't need to be a cruel one.

It shouldn't need saying - but refugees & asylum seekers are real people, fleeing war and persecution.

This daughter of an immigrant is proud of our British and Labour values of respect and not turning our backs on people in real need.

Who do you remember on this World Day of remembrance for road traffic accidents? I remember my aunt and my childhood friend.
Remembering our sister Jennifer Barrett on “World Day of remembrance for road traffic victims”. The car accident happened 49 years ago and we still mourn her loss. We also lost her unborn child that day. PLEASE take care on the roads and always be alert to the unexpected. #speirgorm
