Mother Fletcher’s Sooper Joose (1971-1972):A vaguely cherry-flavored cola from Canada Dry, marketed (with a tongue-in-cheek fictional lore) as a counter-cultural "bootleg soft drink", produced off the grid in a still by a deaf old woman. It was sold/tested exclusively in Dallas, TX and Rochester, NY

To me he seemed uncertain as Ashenden, especially in terms of romance. However, I suppose that portrayal was closer in character to Somerset Maugham, whose stories, based on his own wartime exploits, are the source of the book published in 1927, that the movie is based on.
