The best thing about writing folk horror is that the locations where it invariably takes place always have crap mobile phone and data coverage, for some reason.

What better place to spend your Saturday than in a bookshop?
If you're an #IndieBookshop why not tell us something about yourself, any upcoming events, where you're based, what your speciality is if any, show us around!

If ever there was a time for a Netflix adaptation of The Invisibles, this is it. The conspiracy crowd would leap on it joyfully and then have their minds blown.

British prison service right now:
Nisus Wettus: Crucifixion?
Mr. Cheeky: Er, no, freedom actually.
Nisus Wettus: What?
Mr. Cheeky: Yeah, they said I hadn't done anything and I could go and live on an island somewhere.
Nisus Wettus: Oh I say, that's very nice. Well, off you go then.

I am almost at the end of this book. It’s a good horror story. I like the style of writing and the pace of the story. I also think a good call of Cthulhu adventure can come out of it 🙂 #horror #ttrpg (also I cannot wait to read the other books by @davidmbarnett.bsky.social)

Withered Hill didn’t win in the British Fantasy Awards last night but it doesn’t matter. Johanna Van Veen’s My Darling Dreadful Thing is a very worthy winner and the real triumph is for the horror genre — the shortlist was such a diverse, wide-ranging list and we truly are in a golden age for horror

I appreciate publishing is hard, and everyone’s got to hustle, especially in self-pubbing. But putting a link to your book in the replies to practically every one of my posts (on another platform) and even suggesting I buy your book to “take my mind off” cancer… I dunno, man.
