In the episode I tell the story of the time I won a contest and got to shoot the tennis ball gun on AMERICAN GLADIATORS.

Well, against my better judgment here is a picture of me just after getting home from that amazing event!

NOTE: the shirt was mandatory, the mullet was by choice.

This made me clutch my chest SANFORD AND SON style.
Me: sees Batman #676 facsimile edition (fist part of Batman RIP) at the comic store.

“But… that JUST came out!”

The question is: How much shrimp do you have to put in Jell-O before it’s too much?

Related follow-up: What if you do not have an adequate amount of shrimp to put in Jell-O?
That is a lot of shrimp to put in Jell-O.

“Jungle berries” sounds like how Tarzan would describe Chickenpox.
Cap’n Crunch with Jungle Berries (1999-1999): Standard Crunch Berries cereal, but with the addition of green pieces, aka "jungle berries." Released to promote Disney's "Tarzan".

A missed opportunity for Jean to tell Scott she's "someone to hear your prayers/someone who's there" and "things on your chest/you need to confess/I will deliver/you know I'm a forgiver"
Scott Summers changed the lyrics to “Enjoy the Silence” just enough to try to pass them off as his own words.

Reposting because this is a wonderful cultural exchange worth your time.

Did you know that at one point in the 90s the Polish government had an advertising campaign featuring gangsters with bloody baseball bats reminding kids that they can be used to play games too?

Neither did I!

A living, breathing thing was burst out of balls?

I mean, I guess that’s technically partially true…
Alarming Tales no. 2 (Nov 1957). The GCD credits Joe Simon with this cover, which I’m a little dubious about. It has also been credited to Mort Meskin with George Roussos. Not sure about that either. Regardless, it’s a cool cover, with some nice, subtle grey shading. Interiors are mainly by Kirby.
