While far from perfect, DARK CITY (1950) is well worth a watch. It’s a crime noir that frequently takes place in the daytime, has almost proto-slasher elements, and great performances all around.

Reddit post: Is reading internet forums like reddit a great way to expand vocabulary? I really enjoy reading internet forums because I will get exposed to a wide variety of topics all in one place in a short period of time. I'm currently learning Chinese, and my main reading resource is an internet forum called Dcard. It's basically a taiwanese version of reddit. I know most people will recommend reading books as a better alternative but I find it to be quite a hassle because of the long process of having to search for a book that interest me and then download it (sometimes it's not even available in digital form), move it to Pleco so that I start reading it only to lose interest halfway into the book

Whatever it is that the kids are into these days, he’s not having it and does not approve of it.
