This should be a great project as long as it gets funded - Barnett’s folk horror novels are superb and the “Roads to Withered Hill” immersive audio was very effective.
The Kickstarter for THE DEVIL'S SOUND, a six-part immersive audio project set in the world of Withered Hill, Scuttler's Cove and Scratch Moss -- it's fun, innovative, gets you fit and is as cheap as chips. Please check it out: www.kickstarter.com/projects/tom...

This wee play by @paulmagrs.bsky.social is a rather lovely drama to have listened to around the 10th anniversary of Bowie’s death.

Amazing to see Radiohead again, 25 years after the last time. Great stage set up in the round, horrible O2 venue…

This audio drama should be great if funded - @adamzed.bsky.social is an excellent writer and performer, and @mikemuncer.bsky.social is a horror expert (plus his contact book will be top-notch).

Radiohead tickets sorted, standing so happy days. Shitty ticketing system but defeated it

This isn’t too shrill. Disproportionate reporting, allied to giving Farage an unchallenged space to spout his bullshit, drives public opinion.
I don’t want to be too shrill about this but I think the BBC, ITV and Sky have disgraced themselves in their coverage of the anti-refugee protests. A massive failure of judgement. But now we know the next time a progressive protest “isn’t news” that it’s nothing to do with numbers

Britain’s media will condemn the racist abuse at Anfield while continuing to platform racists and downplay racism.

Not surprising that the worst people in society feel emboldened

Wasn’t sure what to expect at wavelength, an electronic music night at Flowergate Hall in Whitby last night. Really enjoyed @gribbles.co.uk and Duty, will be going back for future nights.

Great production of Richard ii @bridgetheatre.bsky.social tonight. Jonathan Bailey excellent, unexpectedly brought out the humour as well as the tragedy, not something I recall from earlier productions. Great ensemble, Succession-esque music and clever staging.

Saw the exceptional Kenrex at @swkplay.bsky.social tonight. Brilliant performance from Jack Holden, giving a clear delineation to multiple characters, and superb music from John Patrick Elliott. Pretty much sold out but if it gets a transfer then go, it’s amazing.

Great thread about a quietly beautiful film.
Planning to watch the BFI and Film Foundation restoration of I KNOW WHERE I’M GOING! (Powell and Pressburger, 1945) today? It's on BBC Two (and iPlayer) at 16.10. Given my borderline obsession with the film, here’s a thread with some IKWIG-related info and links.
