While Stardew Valley is close, I’d say it’s Pokémon GO then and now. There is STILL a healthy local community that shows up for every event.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

The nice thing about NFTs was that they were clearly a scam. If you tried to explain what they were, you sounded like a crazy person.
Generative AI as it's being sold is also a scam, but it's easier to pretend that it isn't. And that's infuriating to everyone who sees the emperor has no clothes.
