This is really sad. I just feel so despairing about this and the fact that this profound failure won't be recognised as such by most politicians.
Susan Smith of For Women Scotland is quoted in this piece saying that Dr Upton leaving the NHS will be "a relief to female patients."

At my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary, I got speaking to my cousin's husband.
We rarely see them because they live further away and are Jehovah's Witnesses (don't celebrate Birthdays, Christmas, Easter).

Remembering the first time has me also remembering when a homeless guy in Cottingham (village neighbouring Hull where my student halls were located) tried to shove a banana in my coat pocket.

If I had a penny for every time I mentioned Mormons to another Brit and a confusing conversation occurred in which I slowly realised they’d confused Mormons with the Amish, I’d have two pennies.
Which isn’t much, but it’s funny it happened twice, nearly a decade apart.

The thing that I truly don't get about this is, if AI-generated video is truly as good as we're being told it is (the video in question is awful btw, but let's ignore that for the sake of argument), shouldn't it be "over" for everybody *but* the writers?

Okay, I’ve only just started the investigation of Chapter 4 and am calling it quits for the night, so don’t know the outcome. But the events of the actual murder felt… really contrived

Only going to do this for one year's results, but finally did a Sankey diagram to portray the transfer of votes in the Then and Now prompts. Decided to go with 2010. Originally had more games separated from Other, but, as you can probably guess, it became a bit of a visual clusterfuck

Yeah that is tiresome. If consumption isn't an identity, then consuming the same goods years later on the cheap also should not be considered an identity. I'm happy for people who are able to spend a lot of money on games, and I don't consider myself better than them for not wanting to.

This is, and bear in mind I can't bear sport, an extremely stupid take.
Not liking spectator sport is one of the best life hacks going. Over a lifetime you'll end up with literally years of time to dedicate to whatever you want, compared to spending it being pointlessly obsessed with other people playing a game
