Only going to do this for one year's results, but finally did a Sankey diagram to portray the transfer of votes in the Then and Now prompts. Decided to go with 2010. Originally had more games separated from Other, but, as you can probably guess, it became a bit of a visual clusterfuck

Yeah that is tiresome. If consumption isn't an identity, then consuming the same goods years later on the cheap also should not be considered an identity. I'm happy for people who are able to spend a lot of money on games, and I don't consider myself better than them for not wanting to.

This is, and bear in mind I can't bear sport, an extremely stupid take.
Not liking spectator sport is one of the best life hacks going. Over a lifetime you'll end up with literally years of time to dedicate to whatever you want, compared to spending it being pointlessly obsessed with other people playing a game

Kinda hard to "roll right through" Britain when the Channel is in the way, which was the primary reason we didn't suffer the same fate as France, not because of our resolve or whatever
If WW2 happened today we'd be so busy arguing on the internet over whether the government was trying to control us with blackout and rations that the Germans would just roll right through us in hours
