Wanted to do a "Games I've played" thread for this year. So, err, this is the starting post
Never mind on holding off until March, I finally pulled the trigger (on a Switch 2). Not feeling immediate regret, like that time I ordered a PS5 Pro and then immediately cancelled the order, so that’s good
I'm coming pretty close to pulling the trigger, but holding off until March at the earliest to avoid the temptation to buy Requiem for it, because I would inevitably regret it and end up buying it for PS5 anyway

I think there was an argument back then that the Tories were worse than Reform on trans rights, and I don't think it's a coincidence that Reform has gotten worse on trans rights since the influx of ex-Tories

This is absolutely not a supportive point of labour but I do think it gets lost in the discourse that a lot of the govts more unpopular anti trans measures are watered versions of tory original proposals

Braverman says social transitioning would be banned in all schools, "no ifs or buts". She says the 50% target for university education would be replaced with a 50% target for kids going into trades like electricians and plumbing. As ever, I'll believe it when it's the MPs' own kids who do this.

This sort of advice also rests on the person not having accompanying physical ailments. ADHD and a Chronic Lung Condition are a real annoying mix, because they both make it harder to do common remedies for the other
It really is a silly thing to tell someone with mental health issues. Yes working out boosts your mood, but it does not cure depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. And i work out all the time. Let the experts be experts.

Besides the other things wrong with this, it is quite telling to not think of a fusion of three different cultures as, y’know, multicultural

I am currently having this with whether or not I should get Resident Evil Requiem for PS5, a system I have every Resident Evil on, or for Switch 2, a system I don't even own yet
Theory: own multiple systems so you can play the best version of everything
Practise: ruin your enjoyment of a game because you get genuinely emotionally distressed over if you got the right version

It is amazing how indie games have literally EVERYTHING now.
Dieselpunk RPG where you play as a lady smuggler in 1930s New York with flying cars.
Real-rime tactics where you need to escape 18th century Spanish monastery.
Morrowind and Mike Mignola inspired post-apocalyptic RPG.

It’s quite funny that, when you factor in the ~30% of the 360 library that’s backwards compatible (as well as the smattering of supported original Xbox games) alongside the pretty much perfect Xbox One compatibility, the Xbox Series X technically has the strongest library of any console ever
Also, we went from no backwards compatibility being the norm for nearly 15 years to two consoles with the best backwards compatibility any console has ever had
