That's out of ≈270K!

Seattle counted roughly 39K ballots today, & they broke in favor of Wilson by 11.4%, erasing the entirety of the incumbent's lead.

That's when I got to see Homare Sawa play in person. I always thought the Beat's direct style of play didn't really showcase her talents, but I do think this is where she became a more physical player, which made her a more total player & was a factor in her MVP performance for Japan in the 2011 WWC

As a former Atlanta Beat fan--this is exciting news! There was strong support for the Beat when they were part of WUSA, the first pro women's soccer league in the US, & it was odd Atlanta didn't have a NWSL team. I mention the Beat in this piece on the 2023 WWC.

We need a leader of the opposition against authoritarianism & Schumer is not that. We also need a Senator that represents New Yorkers. He has failed on every level. Time to make him step aside because he clearly won’t do it on his own.

House Democrats have consistently maintained that bipartisan legislation that funds the government must also decisively address the Republican healthcare crisis.

For seven weeks, Democrats in the House and Senate have waged a valiant fight on behalf of the American people.

It now appears that Senate Republicans will send the House of Representatives a spending bill that fails to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits.

As a result of the Republican refusal to address the healthcare crisis that they have created, tens of millions of everyday Americans are going to see their costs skyrocket. Many will not be able to afford a doctor when they or their children need one.

America is far too expensive. We will not support spending legislation advanced by Senate Republicans that fails to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits. We will fight the GOP bill in the House of Representatives, where Mike Johnson will be compelled to end the seven week Republican taxpayer-funded vacation.

Donald Trump and the Republican Party own the toxic mess they have created in our country and the American people know it.
