The New York Times reports that the Department of Homeland Security has sent Google, Meta, and other media corporations subpoenas for the names on accounts that criticize ICE enforcement. The department wants to identify Americans who oppose what it’s doing. I’ll save them time.

Nur um Mißverständnisse zu vermeiden: ganz viele meiner Kollegen sind super fair und versuchen das Beste (im Sinne des Doktoranden) aus der jeweiligen Situation zu machen. Hilft nur denjenigen nicht, die sich in der Wahl ihres Betreuers vergriffen haben.

Der Beitrag des Betreuers wird am Ende natürlich offengelegt, damit die Gutachter die intellektuelle Gesamtleistung des Doktoranden einschätzen können.

Eigentlich ganz gutes System. Auf jeden Fall deutlich offener und fairer als das, was hier abläuft...

Beide dürfen auch in den letzten 5 Jahren nicht zusammen publiziert haben.

Und so kann man dann (ganz normal und offen) erwarten, dass der Betreuer sich seine Mitautorenschaft an den Papern des Doktoranden ernsthaft mit-erarbeitet.

mMn gehören Betreuung & Begutachtung getrennt. Der Missbrauch der damit getrieben werden kann, dass jemand Betreuer & Gutachter gleichzeitig ist, ist völlig unakzeptabel. In Schweden, wo ich lange gearbeitet habe, müssen das nicht nur getrennte Personen sein.

Rubio sagt bei der #MSC inhaltlich nichts anderes als Trump, aber in freundlichere Worte verpackt.

Die Reaktion darauf zeigt, wie groß der Wunsch ist, dass im transatlantischen Verhältnis einfach wieder alles wird, wie es mal war. So wird das mit der europäischen Souveränität nichts.
