it was always gonna take all of us
Sometimes all you can do is make the world 0.0000000000001% less awful by being a good person and it feels very meaningless but it’s also the only thing that really matters

If you're grasping for anything to feel good about right now - and that's a very difficult thing to find - feel good about the fact that not everyone is as much of a spineless, collaborating coward as our elites. Total strangers will risk their lives to stand next to you.

Thank you Mr. President for acknowledging the success of the great JIM HARBAUGH, who has been treated VERY UNFAIRLY and who has DONE NOTHING WRONG!

Do you have a historical figure you most wish got to be a poster? I feel like you must have a better answer than mine, which is Churchill. The guy started autobiography when he was 19 I think. And just never stopped. True poster.

dante made up an entire fake trip through hell just so he could talk about how he coincidentally saw every single one of his enemies there receiving graphically specific and tailor-made punishments

Sophomore year, division championships for swimming, I got a little aggressive trying to time the gun and fell off the block. After a loud FUCK! and splashing the water I was told I was disqualified.
Have you ever been ejected from a sporting event? Player, Fan, whatever? I would love to hear your stories.
Ive been tossed from games a bunch of times. Got ejected as a player and a fan multiple times. Also, I was never wrong, THEY were wrong, fuckin assholes.

He's an A1 level broadcaster now but Eduardo Perez was genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met, saw him in a Puerto Rican league game and he and my dad chatted in Spanish for like 10 minutes when he was signing autographs. Was devastated when his Achilles and effectively ended his career
Who is your favorite shitty athlete? Someone who just wasn’t as good as everybody else bless them but you have a lot of affection for

So my FIL is pretty well known in the beer stein community and has a small museum grade collection in his house, they hosted a get together over the summer with attendees from all over the country and a couple from Vermont brought them a jug of maple syrup as a gift.

kind of darkly funny that "gender studies" is the stereotypical "useless degree" because gender studies will help you understand a large and important chunk of the current psychosis in american life

i think this site really needs to figure out how to grow the non-politics verticals (the baseball moment was a good thing!) because i suspect a lot of the bad clusters come out of the political clusters driving 95% of ENG-lang posts

I drunkenly punched a wall in college.

The right side of my right hand still clicks.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.
