umm well there might be one good reason? googling "how many concussions is too many" lol
Pretty much the only regret I have in my life is that I quit skating when I started high school "because I wasn't good enough".

I wish skating for the love of it had been an option!!!

I got these babies sharpened yesterday because there's no good reason I can't do that now.

a lot of you owe 3-on-3 overtime an apology

Tbh I am so happy to see someone without a triple-triple and without a triple axel score so well. This is a very lukewarm take but I have always thought the move to the IJS emphasized attempting harder jumps more than it did overall skating and I love this for Alysa Liu so much

ALYSA LIU WITH THE HAIR FLIP I LOVE IT

There needs to be at least twice as many PWHL teams. Detroit doesn't have one AND Denver doesn't have one. :/

These are both big hockey cities!
Megan Keller, who scored the golden goal for Team USA against Canada, plays pro hockey for the Boston Fleet.

The PWHL season resumes Thursday: www.thepwhl.com/en/stats/sch...

A woman from Farmington Hills, Michigan, just scored the gold medal winning OT winner for the United States. Somehow there’s not a Division 1 women’s hockey program in her home state.

I once had the unpleasant experience of having to sit politely across from my ex's ex-cop relative at Thanksgiving in Georgia as he told me "no one wants to watch women play hockey"

YEAH FUCK OFF

After that head shake after touching down on that triple loop, I could hear my coach lecturing me about never do that

Adding "learn to play hockey" to my mental queue of new hobbies to try

(Actually it has been in my queue since before COVID but maybe I'll move it up in the queue)

It is time!

I've been thinking a lot lately about how I would have been a much happier kid if my continued ability to do sport hadn't been tied to whether I had competitive success
NBC ran a piece where Mary Carrillo went to Norway to find out why they're so good at the Winter Olympics and i was yelling BECAUSE IT'S COLD THERE

then she went to a little tiny ski jump for kids and was like "it's free, equipment is provided, & they don't emphasize results"

and i was like.
oh!

Don't forget! Team USA vs Team Canada for women's hockey gold in 23 minutes!
February 19, 2026 at 5:47 PM
you can watch Team USA play for gold in women's hockey tomorrow (and you should!!!), but you'll hear about lots of players from Ohio State and Minnesota and Wisconsin and none from Michigan
IT'D BE COOL IF THE SCHOOL THAT DID THIS HAD A VARSITY WOMEN'S HOCKEY PROGRAM
michigan 2, sweden 1
