I have one friend who still uses her pirated copy, but it doesn't support the RAWs from her newer cameras 😐. She doesn't shoot professionally though and switched to Fujifilm film sim jpegs so she just doesn't bother with LR at all anymore. I can't do that 😅

But yeah it really sucks

IMO, they know people are locked into their tool so they don't care. :/ At my work, if our software can't run on slow connections, that's money we are losing. Adobe knows we aren't gonna quit them :/

It's clear they put absolutely no effort into optimizing performance at all. :/ As a software engineer who has to worry about performance as part of my job (and who had to upgrade her computer to continue to use Lightroom this year), it really pisses me off
