You just gotta stop inviting shameless liars to lie on your air
WELKER: Is it healthy for democracy for POTUS to be questioning the 2020 election 5 years later with false claims?

JOHNSON: What's healthy i to be focused on election integrity

W: But that's not 'election integrity.' He's still talking about an election he lost

J: There was a lot of irregularity

Nadame Tucker has made himself some serious money this week (and the last 6 months)

Epstein is the most garish and harrowing manifestation of this but oligarchy makes life miserable in a thousand other ways. A core point of democracy is that no one should have so much power that they can make themselves everybody's problem. We should have a political party that believes that
The Epstein emails should really end the debate over whether society should have billionaires. "Do you want there to be a class of people so powerful they can fuck your kids and no one will even try to do anything" seems like an easy sell if everyone in politics wasn't trying to get on their payroll

I have no attachment to or care for the City of Oakland in any particular regard and this made me sad, man
This is the saddest thing you can see from a plane in the United States right now

Got @mittenfootball.bsky.social’s first dose of draft coverage coming on Monday, so be on the lookout!

That’s amazing
Hey! This is Jordan Diehl and Dan Parks. They brought their own Land-Grant Trophy to the tailgate!

As they searched for information about how to make it as realistic as possible they said the read some of my stories about this wonderful trophy.

Genuinely not that invested in this game and the ref show is tiresome as hell, man

Fair play on this shit housery
Izzone had a bedsheet/banner with Sherrone Moore's face on it it took out during FTs. Breslin staff took it away quickly.

OK that was a bush league lil foul bait and of course the refs call it

Fears needs to get himself under control. MSU is cooked if he’s losing his head.

Just a no holds barred possession there I guess?
January 31, 2026 at 2:01 AM
Refs have been just too involved in this half for my taste, and I don’t think either fan base would disagree lol

Need to do some digging but I think CMU just denied a FOIA request citing a section of the law that… doesn’t exist?

My read on this, as a non-lawyer, is if CSC actually does try to pinch anyone here they’ll probably get sued because guess who didn’t agree to these rules about reporting NIL income? The players.
NEWS: The College Sports Commission has opened an investigation into LSU over potential unreported NIL deal(s). The Tigers are the first known program under an inquiry from the new enforcement body.

Not a great reflection on Warde Manuel — quote is from Bear McWhorter (signed to NLI, released) about how recruits felt Michigan admin was not above board.

Great nuggets in general from Grace Raynor: www.nytimes.com/athletic/700...

To be clear, my intention here is not to complain, but to say this--seeking internet validation for being "right" isn't fulfilling (it's taken me a while to grasp this lol), bc ultimately that's not what the internet cares about. Just do the work and stand by your process.
As someone who is frequently wrong, @minakimes.bsky.social nailed this: "You get nothing out of being proven right and only get... people take joy when you're proven wrong"

Appreciated Chris taking some time for me last week -- and enjoyed digging in on team building/roster cohesion and all that good stuff.

EMU was perfect in the red zone until the finale (finale went very sideway in the red zone against WMU.)

EMU really just needed like passable defense the first two months and they'd have been a bowl team. But alas!
Which teams scored most often when they got into the red zone?

Oklahoma leads the nation by almost 2 full percentage points.

Congrats to Hawai’i and Eastern Michigan for coming in 2nd and 3rd!

Adult-in-therapy-for-years realization (a double-edged one, at that): I'm getting very good at knowing when the internal monologue is being hijacked by anxiety; I also recognize the hijackers will not relent so long as I live.

Awareness, a blessing and a curse!
