I grew up 30 miles north of the city and this left turn the second it goes green thing is just how we learned to drive.
Also: eye contact is 100% how things are negotiated between drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists here.

I moved to Boston and was shocked to discover that left turns are mostly taken by whipping in front of traffic the second the light turns green.
But! Biking was quite possible there because nobody is going anywhere fast, so you just looked drivers in the eyes and dared them to pay your tuition.

I find that Boston driving is predictable aggressiveness, as opposed to, say, Florida, where you never know when a lifted Ram will cut across 5 lanes of traffic at 90 mph.

They haven't fixed her ACL, it's just flopping around in there. And her other knee is made out of titanium. Very literally built different
