Heartthrob lawyer (the good kind), Detroit -> Chicago -> LA.
But they are all fabulously wealthy and have never suffered an adverse consequence in their lives. You can understand why they would all do it - it has worked out perfectly for all of them. What reason would they have *not* to do it?
I think it’s bad that leaders of companies are visibly up to their gills in stimulants now. Did nobody tell them that, contrary to how they make you feel, those things make you stupid? This is why everyone needs some fuck up friends growing up, to teach them that there’s no good way to abuse drugs.

You’ll never guess how the IDF decided to talk about killing these two kids, 8 and 11 years old, in its official statement
Two brothers killed in Israeli drone strike on Gaza
Fadi Abu Assi, 11, and Goma Abu Assi, eight, were gathering firewood at the time, their uncle said.

They demonstrated pretty conclusively that they understand how to cover pardons as if they are huge scandals when they ran multiple days of banner headlines and scolding op-eds and follow ups when Biden pardoned Hunter exactly one year ago.

They just choose not to for trump because they like him
It’s wild how the press is ok with the president abusing the pardon power. That used to be one of the most scrutinized things about a presidency.

If California were affordable about 15 states in the middle of the country would have less than 5 million people because the vast majority of young people would leave when they went out on their own
While it’s probably true that housing costs are keeping people out of CA and NY, there’s this notion that middle America or the sunbelt will empty out and depart to Brooklyn if Brooklyn built more units, and I’m pretty sure the people who believe this all live in Brooklyn already
Will is totally I missing the rejoinder. Way more people would live in the Northeast and coastal CA if we allowed for abundant home building.

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

Still wondering why all the cool kids still talk derisively about “hashtag resistance” during the first term when it was infinitely better than the doom and capitulation now—and led to huge electoral victories.
hate to be a “our adversaries must LOVE this” guy b/c the reflex was so annoying including in the first term hashtag resistance stuff but I’m sorry, I’m full wine mom now and it’s impossible to get around how other nations must enjoy seeing us eat ourselves alive for no reason beyond stupid menace
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.

no youre not at nyt but youre in mainstream media and they constantly circle the wagons vs liberal criticism. not for a moment could msm ever consider "hey, we fucked up." no. its always "you, the public, are wrong. bow to your superiors."
Also guys I am not in love with NYT, I don’t work there anymore, I am so happy to be at Bloomberg, I think it is absolutely the best and you should all subscribe! And maybe I should have kept quiet about this, but I just think we could all be examining things with some more nuance here!

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Assume all the yes and no votes from Dem senators are strategic and not sincere votes. The party caucus made a decision. No way to know how many were in favor. Then the caucus decided who would vote yes and no based on what would protect each of them politically the most. That’s how this works.

if the Democrats are willing to accept this deal, in particular, i don't think a single Senator should make it through their primary. this just makes health inequity worse and lets Trump send out checks with his name on them!

There's nothing worse than mentions of Neal Katyal on this website, because so many people talk about his greatness without understanding that he's a terrible person who has done far more to harm consumers and employees than almost any other lawyer.
How badly are oral arguments over Trump's tariffs going for the government?

Neal Katyal just began a sentence with: "Justice Gorsuch hit the nail on the head..."

Can’t think of a better encapsulation of US mainstream White House press than the fact that Trump has stated for literally YEARS that refugees seeking asylum means people from mental institutions are coming to the US and not a single reporter has pushed back on it
O'DONNELL: Are we going to war against Venezuela?

TRUMP: I doubt it. They emptied their mental institutions and insane asylums into the United States of America

"Defendants declined."

So Judge Immergut issued an immediate five-day injunction.
