Interesting factoid: Rehmet won by roughly 14–15 points (~57%–43%). Previously, Republican Kelly Hancock won his last regular election for this seat in 2022 by about 20 points, taking roughly 60% to 40%.
That's quite a flip.
Amazing what you can do when Elon Musk isn't stealing electronic votes
I've been saying for years--Texas isn't a "red" state. Texas is a non-voting state. We have among the lowest voter turn-outs in the nation/world. When voters vote, things change.

And, yes, they make it hard to vote here. And, yes, you know why.
Breaking: Democrat Taylor Rehmet wins solidly red Texas Senate seat in stunning special election upset.

Look at this boring, sanctimonious junk. They paid someone to do this!

You could add up all the corruption in US history from every Administration and not even sniff Trump’s year in office.

Every other President in history gets impeached unanimously for this. Every one.

Seems like it should be a bigger story that a witness swore under penalty of perjury that Donald Trump threatened a young girl, saying she would “disappear like another 12-year-old.”

The media is basically ignoring that and, if the witness is lying, why isn't the DOJ prosecuting them?

On FB I recently asked a stranger if she knew what my friend’s post was about (Alex Pretti’s shooting).

I was met with hilariously stale harangue about how us Dems should be ashamed at ourselves for what we stand for.

Trump kneecapped Biden's revitalization of U.S. factory investment.

The tariffs often make building a factory in the U.S. cost-prohibitive. They cost jobs, too.

All they have done for our economy is raise prices and crater manufacturing jobs.

As the price of aluminum goes up -- thanks to tariffs -- it's harder for U.S. businesses to compete internationally. Good thing the U.S. Dollar is sliding lower, right?
No, that's not a good thing, either.
