Weird to be commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Am Rev while living under a government that has a) sent armed troops to occupy cities perceived to be too rebellious, b) rendered largely irrelevant the representative branch of government, and c) claimed imperial right to rule other countries.

The X user did not "create" anything. They wrote a prompt. Let's keep the language correct with AI.
NEW:

I spoke to the X user who created the super viral AI-generated image of Nicolas Maduro in US custody.

He told me he used Google Gemini's Nano Banana Pro to create the fake.

"I never expected this to become the most shared picture worldwide."

1) ICE must be disbanded and everyone involved in today's shooting must be held accountable.

2) You don't need to see that video.

3) Settings, select Content & Media, uncheck "Autoplay videos and GIFs.

I am going to kindly share, as a Black person used to dodging these types of things, if you have your settings set to autoplay video, today is a great day to turn them off. You can be very informed without having to witness murder.

I'm a hearing the video of ICE murdering a citizen in Minneapolis today is making the rounds. Thankfully someone mentioned turning off AUTOPLAY in settings. SETTINGS>CONTENT & MEDIA>UNCHECK AUTOPLAY

DHS tweeted this yesterday. Little more than 24 hours later, ICE agents just shot and killed a legal observer in Minneapolis.

A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.

If the US goes after Greenland, NATO will most likely dissolve, and this is what Putin wants. I'm not a political science scholar, but this seems like a thing, right? This is a long play by Russia and Trump is (and always was) a puppet?

Two things were happening as Trump decided to launch his imperial strike on Venezuela. One was the DOJ filing w/the court explanations for their redactions in the Epstein files they released. The other was Jim Jordan’s release of the transcript of Jack Smith’s testimony.

So I read the transcript.

Listening to things on Bandcamp is much better than listening to them on spotify, or apple music, or tidal, or any of the others. While artists and labels don't get paid per stream, most report far higher overall sales due to better listener support through purchases.

Overthrowing the government of Iran and installing the shah led to the Iranian revolution and the Ayatollah. Funding the Mujahideen in Afghanistan led to the taliban and Al queda. These unlawful actions could have destabilizing consequences for decades and this will haunt the US for generations.

It’s darkly humorous he can’t even muster the ability to give some lip service to democracy or allowing the Venezuelan people to choose their leader.
FOX & FRIENDS: What do you think is next for the Venezuelan people now that you have removed Maduro so he can face American justice?

TRUMP: Well, we're making that decision now. We can't take a chance on letting somebody else run it, just take over where he left off. So we're making that decision

The only thing exceptional about this is how blatant it is, without even the pretense of manufacturing consent--because honestly, media outlets and congressfolk have shown our Empire no longer even needs an excuse.

And it's gonna happen again. Because what's been shown is a president can do that.
This is not the first US imperial atrocity for oil —let’s not exceptionalize it— but wow is is it awful. And the violation of Venezuelans domestically in the name of a sovereign borders they actually dgaf about.

As Aimee Cesaire put it— the price of imperialism is the empire’s own civilization.
