New Rosalia and Charli + Cale this past week makes me think we’re going to see the pop tides continue to turn towards the weird and uniquely self-defined in the face of genAI sonic wallpaper. Taylor Swift should’ve collaborated with Laurie Anderson on the new LP 🤦‍♂️

Are we really so pathetic that we’re going to try to claim a writer who left Canada as a one-year-old as (sort of) our own? We have our own talented writers!

I know, everybody should leave X, but I think an exception should be made solely for Joyce Carol Oates so she can keep wounding Musk's withered soul on his own site and he can't do a thing about it.

i collect both vinyl and cds, and while i am obviously partial to vinyl, i see where the youth are coming from. cds are cheaper, easier to store, sound pretty great. i feel like every generation will dabble in the listening customs of the generation before it
Interesting convo with a friend who owns a hip NYC record shop about a sudden renewed interest in CDs, which were a negligible part of his business till recently.
