Back when I was a Great Lake shipwreck obsessed kid the Edmund Fitzgerald wasn’t even my favorite (though I get why it caught the imagination). I was all about the SS Carl D. Bradley and the various wrecks of the Big Blow.

The thing about the Edmund Fitzgerald is it’s just mind boggling that they could make a storm that could destroy one of those freighters. They look like a mountain that moves.
