This is genius because all the people who want to murder him will be going nuts trying to outbid each other. Unfortunately all the money will go to antivax freaks.

In memoriam Tatsuya Nakadai. I sometimes think that Ran is the greatest movie ever made.

Jack White using his acceptance speech to shout out awesome bands is deeply relatable behavior.

Listening to a pile of Bardo Pond while I clean the gutters…hopefully appreciated by the neighbors.

Found the name for my hard boiled cop show. Or noise rock band.

Holy shit some Jesus freak sent me letter with a fucking Chick tract included! I haven’t seen one of those in years!

Hiroshi Yoshimura - Green
Some appropriate listening for a gentle rainy night.

Faust - Rien
Their nineties “comeback” produced by Jim O’Rourke that turns their dada rock chaos into kind of a dark ambient industrial collage. It’s pretty great though.

Robert Wyatt - Dondestan
More luminous solo work from the man.

R.E.M. in the approximate culture decade of the nineties.

Robert Wyatt - Old Rottenhat
He’s known for some expansive and collaborative albums but in the mid eighties he recorded a couple entirely solo albums that maybe are slightly more of an acquired taste but nonetheless are great imo.

Robert Wyatt - Comicopera
Just a wonderfully strange and gorgeous album…as expected for a Robert Wyatt album.

I thought this was really great.

What Trump looks like in all those The Great Gatsby photo pics (and once again no one has obviously read the book).

I guess the Mt Rainier National Park won’t have Caroline Fraser making brochures for them anytime soon.
