Politics are almost always violent.
OUR politics have always been violent.

3. If you see content that disturbs you, immediately (or as fast as possible) go and play 20-30 minutes of Tetris (or any other fast-paced game with your eyes sweeping over the visual field that has caused visual artifacts to linger when you close your eyes for you in the past).

Had a day full of Stuff after a week full of Things which meant I only had One Hour to write this 1000 word essay, and I SURE DID IT. But at the cost of finding out After doing all of that… That I didn’t even need to write it. There are 7 chances to write one of these essays and we only need 3 total

There will be many casualties from UChicago ending ('pausing') PhD admissions in Humantities, but one which I am keenly aware of: this is close to a death sentence for teaching cuneiform in the United States (esp. Sumerian, Hittite, Elamite, Eblaite, Luwian) and it will affect the whole world.

I'm a modestly successful indie author and the absolute most I've ever made in one year from writing is around $2k. Extremely successful indie authors & Big 5 agented authors do a bit better than this, but not much-- I think the average comes out to like $7k per year?
