So I wrote two books. both are set in London, in winter, in 2021. One is an alternate future history, a sparse love story where a spad and civil servant work on Brexit together and fall unwillingly in love; the other is a sports anime, a post-pandemic f/f romance. here they both are:

Fanfiction is the sign of a healthy show, like a cold nose on a dog. It took me a while to come around to it early in my career, but I got there.

pls read this thread. this is literally something any of us can do, and it matters so much. if you want a little structure & guidance, look up @indivisible.org’s One Million Rising materials. But you can also just… invite some friends over.
I would like to share something.

A year ago, Trump won and I was furious and scared so I sent a text to a few of local women I knew and asked them to join me at a meeting and invite like-minded women they knew. A few showed up, then a few more. We became a group called The Salon and we meet monthly

RFK Jr. backs down all the time when he gets push back, so if anyone wants to call, here's the HHS number 1-877-696-6775.
I'd also call your senators/reps as well.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announces he will cancel $500 million in vaccine development projects.

a screenshot of an e-commerce cart with:

yasumoto fusion synthetic brush round, short handle, size 5

prang semi-moist watercolor paint - square pans, assorted, set of 16

bee inspired watercolor artist pad - 9"x12", 140 lb, 20 sheets
Since we're talking about AI art again, here is my periodic recommendation thread of art supplies for the adult beginner.

This is my under $20 Blick pick. The brush is quite snappy and ideal for someone who has never used a brush before. The paper is cellulose but quite good.

Jewish orgs Keshet and the Hebrew Free Loan Association are giving out interest-free loans to LGBTQ+ folks who need to re-locate but can’t afford it. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE JEWISH.

“The idea that people were having to pick up and flee their homes was something that resonated Jewishly.”
Persecuted for being LGBTQ+ in Trump country, they now have a chance to start over someplace new
Keshet and the Hebrew Free Loan Society are fighting persecution by offering loans to those who need to flee,

Please comment! They've been walking things back when they get enough pushback. This is absolute bullshit.
The comment period for this ends in 3 DAYS. Please leave a comment telling them EVERYONE should be able to get covid boosters.

If you hate Google's default search and its AI crap, go into your Chrome settings to the "Search Engine" tab and edit the URL to one of them to be www.google.com/search?q=%s&... (screenshot below). Then make it your default. Your search bar will take you to Google Web, which only shows links.

Noting here that marches & rallies are *demonstrations* not direct action. They demonstrate a snapshot of public support, and the hard right has figured out they can ignore demonstrations, because too many people think the demonstration is the point, get their yayas out, and stop paying attention.
I think people feel exhausted in advance because we’ve trained ourselves to think marches and rallies are the only way to fight, when in fact there are much quieter, more effective, and less exhausting ways to fight - like not conceding in advance, and not panic-sharing stuff without vetting

My new year's bird (h/t @amalelmohtar.com for the tradition) this year is a whole little flock(let) of bushtits, chittering from tree to bush to tree

And then we stumbled on the local murder of crows, settling in for the night, & got to watch them negotiate sleeping arrangements for quite a while
