Oh hey, so maybe I should introduce myself since there's been a huge influx of new folks? Hi! I'm co-chair for Flights of Foundry, operations manager of Dream Foundry, and co-editor of Small Wonders Magazine! I love collaborating on projects and working out logistics for anything other than dinner.
Ok, it's time for me to shut the tab(s) with bsky and other social media sites in them and do something - anything - else. Gonna listen to some music turned up loud and dive into something else. Here's my pandora station, if anyone wants to join me.

Oh hey turn off auto play NOW friends. Take it from me, you don’t want to scroll past that and have it start up.
I will be another voice to say, I have watched the video and you do not need to watch it unless you doubt what is being said.

There is no ambiguity.

Agents dogpile a person, he is on the ground, one of them starts clubbing with a pistol and then fires repeatedly. Even after the body is still.

Today I played the “Be a Douglas Fir” game, under grove! It’s a lot of fun - you build the forest and mycelial networks of mushrooms and roots. Very neat, definitely recommended.

Hey, you. Stop doomscrolling.

Go take your meds. Eat something. Drink water. Go for a walk. Hug an animal. Call someone you adore.

Breathe.

We are inundated with fuckery. You still need to take care of yourself.

Feeling worn down today, but trying to get stuff done. Chores are at least helping me feel like I did a thing, as I can see the results.

Congratulations to those who celebrate this wonderful day.

Also, every other day is also Transphobes are Trash Day, I forgot to mention that.

RT this with your home river.

The Manatee River, as seen from dad’s house with neighbor Smiley sunning on the bank. It contains many critters! Dolphins, gators, snook, gar, mullet, and of course manatees!

HEY did you know @smallwondersmag.com published a LOT of poetry that's eligible for awards? It's true!

Just in our first issue of last year we've got creepy ASMR, heartbreaking whale fall, and conservation of dragons!

Oh no I looked at Facebook whyyyy would I even do that?!

It turns out one of my high school English teachers is all in on “back in my day we respected authority and that’s why we didn’t get shot” and also “clearly the government is always right.” I’m just… ugh. I will not engage I will not engage I

If you, too, have been having a hard time concentrating because of ~gestures broadly at the world~ may I suggest www.focusatwill.com? A 30 minutes session with their NatureBeat station helped me clear a bunch of my todos today.

Sometimes the cat distribution system picks a mummy. These things happen! It's what happens next that we love in Amy Johnson's poem from our 7th issue:

There's a new story up at @bcsmagazine.bsky.social by Anaea Lay, "The Stone's Choice." I haven't read it yet, but I've loved Anaea Lay's fiction in the past, and I like the opening!

"The stone in Tadlomilik’s hands has only modest ambitions..."

I keep pondering the sheer size of the US and hating it. “Why don’t Americans do something?” Ok, it’s a multi day car ride to the capitol or an expensive plane ticket. In the meantime no work, and we are all easily replaced cogs in the machine.
